Getting To Know My Team For the Amazing Race

Today in our Amazing race teams we had to make a box car. Their pretty awesome. In my group I have a year seven girl called Chontelle from room 30, Marshall from room 42, Mitchell from room 41 and me from room 41. My group is awesome except for Mitchell. He’s done absolutely nothing. >:(
Making the boxes was fun. The bad part about it, I’ve cut my fingers on the scissors several times. IT HURT! The supplies that we were given were, cardboard, black paper, corrugated cardboard, glue stick, scissors, string and a box. Our first shape of the car was a bit awkward, really. Marshall designed it so it was a bit of a weird shape. Then we got a chick in our group and well, it looks at least 20 times better.
Our car looks totally awesome. It’s black with white wheels, head lights, keys and a glove box.
Doing all this was exciting hand all but I couldn’t wait till the real amazing race. After making the cars we had to line up in our groups and got told the rules. then we got handed the envelope and gaped to Marshals mums car.

Off we go to the Te Puna Quarry. We got there at about 8:45 and sprinted towards the clipboard and look at the photo. We ran all around the quarry trying to find pictures. Then we went to Katikati to search around all the murals and answer questions. Whaihi was quite cool. We had to be part of the beach hop with our cardboard cars. After our little car tour we had to drive to the Karangahake Gorge. We came 26 that day. Since we were so well behaved we got a double scoop icecream.

The last day of the amazing race was really sad because we were having so much fun and we didn’t want it to end even if it meant to have to fundraise or pay more then $30.00. The last day being the best day out of the three is because not only was it fun learning about art and authors, you can learn some handy skills like how to fillet a fish. Of course it was a bit disturbing chopping up fish. Other handy skills being how to scuba dive and how to cook your own fish and chips. YUMMY!
